Tony Bloodworth - Writer/Director/Producer
After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Memphis with a major in Film Production, Tony packed up his run-down Mitsubishi Mirage and moved to Los Angeles where he wrote and directed several short films. The most recent of those -“Figure 8”- was selected to screen at the prestigious Los Angeles Short Film Festival, among other fests. His previous film - the vampire drama “seeing”- screened at the Oxford Film Festival, as well as additional showcases around the country. In 2015 and 2016 his first feature - the thriller Forced Move - was fortunate enough to be chosen for festivals around the world before Summer Hill Films obtained the distribution rights.
Additionally, Tony has written several screenplays, a sampling of which includes…
• Valentine – His first script was a semi-finalist in several national screenwriting contests and was a top 30 entrant in the Project Greenlight competition.
• Driving a Stick – Another script that performed well in various competitions including the Hollywood Nexus and WriteMovies screenwriting contests.
• The Long Night – A semi-finalist of both the WriteMovies and Slamdance screenplay competitions.
Tony is currently working diligently on multiple projects for multiple platforms. 2019 should be an interesting year!
